This Halloween, there are a vast array of Star Wars costumes available to suit every fan. Emporer Palpatine, with his red cape and pale, white face is a popular costume choice. As a member of the Galactic Senate, Galactic Repuclic, the Empire and the Sith, Emporer Palpatine originally came from Naboo, a peaceful world.

As ruler, though, he ruled with an iron hand and showed no mercy. He was originally senator of the Galactic Republic where he had the foresight to see the Republic begin to crumble under lies and corruption. He had his change to take over the power during a trade embargo where the Trade Federation invaded Naboo. Queen Amidala, Naboo’s leader, asked Palpatine for help. They both pleaded with the Senate for assistance but the Trade Federation was causing delays with this request. Chancellor Valorum was voted out of office after Palpatine advised the Queen to call for a Vote of No Confidence in the Republic. This left a space open and Palpatine was nominated for that spot. Palpatine became Chencellor when he got the sympathy vote and he promised to bring peace and justice back. But he was unable to keep his promises and the Republic continued with chaos.

Emperor Palpatine costumes:


The deluxe Palpatine costume comes with a hooded robe, cowl, detailed front panel and a three quarter vinyl mask. The supreme version includes a hodded robe, cowl, details front panel and vinyl mask. The red robe is symbolic for the Emporer and his white mask is eerily evil.

This costume is quite unique as most choose Darth Vader or Luke Skywalker when they go with the Star Wars theme. Rise to power as Emporer Palpatine in all his evil glory.
